At 35 years old, Allyson Felix is competing in her 5th Olympic Games. Over the last twenty years, she has made it clear that she is truly a champion sprinter. With the ability to compete at 100m, 200m, and 400m, she has secured an impressive amount of hardware throughout her time as a professional athlete.

She has won a total of 9 Olympic medals: 6 gold and 9 silver.

This Olympic Games is especially significant for Felix. She competes for her first time as a mother. Felix gave birth to her first daughter, Camryn, two years ago. In addition to being a mother, Felix is competing for her chance to become the most decorated Olympian in the history of women’s track and field.

In Tokyo, she will be competing in her signature race, the 400 meters. It is arguably one of the toughest races in track and field. However, Felix’s experience and skill in the event make her a fan favorite for the win. In the 2020 Games, Felix has the chance to win two medals: one in the 4x400m relay and another in the 400m race.

To make history, the nine-time Olympic medalist just needs one podium result.

So, when do we get to see if Felix can make history? Her schedule for 4x400m and 400m competition is as follows.

Schedule

  • Mixed 4x400-meter relay round 1: Friday, July 30, at 7 a.m. ET.

Many of the track and field events will be recorded and shown in the United States that evening during prime time. The Olympic sports will be available to stream on multiple NBC platforms.

As the 2020 Olympic Games play out, we will see whether Felix will become the most decorated Olympian in women's track & field history.
